The opening track “Eleven Twenty” gives one a proper introduction to the young artist. His talent as a beat-maker and singer is absolutely indisputable. His supplicating plea for someone to “Please figure me out/ I’ve waited too long too long too long,” is an emotional statement. The feeling of being misunderstood is something that we can all relate to and sets the tone for the rest of the four track release. The closing hymn entitled “1993” proves how effective a simple, acid-washed beat can actually be. As the distorted, swirling guitar lick kicks in midway through the tune, you will catch yourself grinning at how positively hypnotic, funky, and immensely danceable this final song truly is. Listening to Luka’s heavily warped, fleeting moans of desperation while the drums slowly deconstruct into silence leaves the listener begging for more and desperately anticipating CAVES’ next move."
